This dress is awesome! I can always have chocolate! I am a big chocolate lover, mostly dark chocolate or white chocolate. My roommate recently told me she knew when I went grocery shopping when she find chocolate in the freezer. An odd fact about me is that I freeze my chocolate. Anything chocolate I will freeze. I know it might take away from the flavour but I don’t care, I think it tastes better!
Even though I love my chocolate I think to share so I would leave it in the living room for my roommates. One time I left a big box of Lindor chocolate and at first, no one took any, and then one day, they were all gone. I questioned my roommates to see who took them all! No one wanted to admit it and instead blamed it on the cleaners.
Another recent incident is I bought a small bag of Lindor chocolate and it was the white and milk chocolate kind. It cost me 10 bucks but it was super good! Now, I bring chocolate into the living room when I’m watching tv and I must’ve left in there because I was looking for it yesterday. I found out that my roommate ate them all! This means I just have to buy more chocolate!
Yum Yum Yum!

I cannot stop eating these!! My favourite is the green and orange one :)
Warning: Contains no wine
Happy Canucks Day!
I played sports when I was growing up, basketball, volleyball, softball but I stopped once I got into university. Instead I started watching sports, specifically basketball. My brother and cousin were basketball fans so whenever we had family dinners, they would talk about basketball players and games and I would be left out of the conversation. I jumped on the Raptors bandwagon a couple years ago and started going to their games and became more interested in their team. Being from Toronto, I had to support my local team! To me, there was never much excitement or strong local support in any of the sports teams in Toronto.
I started watching hockey when I moved over to Vancouver and I am amazed to the degree of loyalty and support people here are for the Canucks. I was lucky to be able to attend a regular season game and recently to Game 5 of the Round 1 Playoffs. At work, there are center folds of Canucks players that people had taped up, along with posters that says ‘Go Canucks Go’. Employees would also wear their jersey on game day and the Canucks were always the topic in the morning after the game. There are some hardcore Canucks fans in BC and I don’t blame them, they are a great team and the boys are super hot. They are so good that BC has made April 27, Canucks Day, its crazy I tell you! All in all, I hope they do well in the series and GO CANUCKS GO!

Goodbye last exam at BCIT!
I wrote my last exam yesterday for management and it was quite the experience. We were given time to write 40 MC and then get into our presentation groups and compare answers and hand in our final exam. I have to say that is a way to end the term. It didn’t help that I was sick the past week and have been coughing my lungs out. All in all, no more exams at BCIT, yay!
My experience at BCIT in the GIS program has been a stressful and happy time. I was quite scared when I heard of the toughness of the program but nevertheless, applied, got accepted and move over here. I remember the first day when I moved in. I met Ashtin first and I remember asking her if she needed anything from the Superstore because I was going there. She looked at me surprise, laughed and say no but thanks. As the next couple of days rolled around and I got to meet the other roommates, I soon realized that we would be the party house. It was funny how our house got together like a family, we laughed, cried, we yelled, we drank (ALOT), we partied and everything else in between. Our house did alot of fun things too, sockball, bachelor fantasy, football Sunday, potlucks, drinking at the Pub, birthday dinners, blue dress, parties in the bathroom, grocery/booze run. We got through the year together and I will miss my lovely roommates!
I spent most of my time at BCIT infront of a computer in the lab. First term was a killer and I think I say for all that our life was put on a hold for that first term. We buried our heads in assignments and all we talked about was GIS. GIS this, GIS that. Most of us have admitted dreaming about GIS many times and I am one of them. We always got together and talked about the instructors. How ugly their hair was, their outfits didn’t much, how unfair marking was, falling asleep in lectures, copying codes and mostly talking about how useless the courses were. All we did was complained but after 8 months of no sleep, nightmares about GIS and stress, we are done! Congrats GIS nerds!
Good friends are like stars,
You don’t always see them,
But you know they are always there.
Time for Change
My favorite Starbucks drink is a tall white chocolate mocha with skim milk and no whip. I love it because it is sweet and delicious but it has a whooping 400 calories and 11g of fat! I feel guilty drinking it so I would justify it by going to the gym or going for a walk. I always ordered this until Hugo told me to try something different. Maybe it was time for a change! Looking for something to indulge my sweet tooth, I decide to try a half sweet Caramel Macchiato. To my surprise it was really good and it was 240 calories and 7g of fat, almost half of what I was drinking!
Everyone is always looking for ways to cut down the calories in what they eat or drink. Here are some ways to shave some calories off your favorite drink.
- Opt for nonfat milk. That saves up to 120 calories and 15g fat.
- Switch to sugar-free syrup. That trims off about 20 calories and 5g sugar per pump of syrup!
- Hold the whip. Whipped cream adds about 50 to 110 calories and 5 to 11g of fat to your drink.
- Choose an iced drink. When you add ice, you displace some of the milk. So while you’ll be missing out on a little calcium, you’ll be saving a few calories. For example, a Tall Skinny Vanilla Latte is about 90 calories; the Iced version is only about 60.
- Add espresso. An espresso shot has about 5 calories. Adding a shot of espresso displaces an ounce of the milk, which lowers the overall calories. For example, an Iced Tall Nonfat Latte is about 70 calories. Add a shot, and you have an Iced Double Tall Nonfat Latte at approximately 60 calories.
- Ask for extra foam. The foamier the milk, the less calories in the drink. This is why a Cappuccino has fewer calories than a Caffè Latte.
Enjoy your drink without the guilt trip! :)
